The exhibition is held in honor of the European Natura 2000 Day on May 21st, marking the creation of the largest network of protected areas in the world. Featuring 41 photographs, it presents the invaluable wealth of Greek nature, captured by renowned Greek photographers who stood out over the three years of the nationwide photo contest “Natura 2000 – Click in Nature.”

Visitors following this photographic “journey” will be transported from the peaks of Taygetos, through the green Thessalian plain, swimming next to sea slugs, climbing the White Mountains, touring Zagori, and being enchanted by the beauty of the Dragon Lake in Tymfi.
Wild bees, butterflies, vultures, Dalmatian pelicans, and lesser kestrels are just a few of the species captured by the camera and displayed for a few days in central Athens.

Each photograph highlights the importance of biodiversity conservation and emphasizes the need for harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The Natura 2000 network is not just a map of protected areas — it’s a promise for the future of the planet. It is a collective effort to safeguard what we value most: our nature!
