The location where the 41-year-old was found dead:
According to sources from protothema.gr, the tragic sequence began to unfold on the morning of Wednesday (the day before yesterday), when the victim’s wife contacted the authorities. She reported that her husband had called her and stated that a specific individual—whom he named—had shot him in the face, asking her to try and find him.
The investigation revealed that the perpetrator, the victim, and two other individuals met on the evening of the previous Tuesday in Artemida. They then got into a vehicle driven by the man named by the victim as the shooter. They stopped briefly at the intersection of Pefkon and Arionos streets in Rafina. At that moment, the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the face, specifically in the cheek.
The 41-year-old fled the scene on foot, managed to call his wife to say he had been shot, and shortly afterward succumbed to his injuries. The suspect fled the scene by car.
It is worth noting that both the victim and the suspect were previously known to law enforcement for drug-related offenses.
