According to sources from protothema.gr, the tragic sequence began to unfold on the morning of Wednesday (the day before yesterday), when the victim’s wife contacted the authorities. At that moment, the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the face, specifically in the cheek.

The 41-year-old fled the scene on foot, managed to call his wife to say he had been shot, and shortly afterward succumbed to his injuries. The suspect fled the scene by car.

It is worth noting that both the victim and the suspect were previously known to law enforcement for drug-related offenses.
