The incident occurred during the celebrations of Liverpool fans in the parade for winning the championship.

The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. (local time, 8 p.m. in Greece), confirmed the police, who did not report whether there were any injuries or what the condition of the victims was.

An eyewitness told Sky News that they heard loud screams:
“People sounded desperate. Then we looked out the window and saw that the car [had] run over people. Then they started running after the driver and tried to break into the car. The police did everything they could to hold people back and clear the area.”

A man was arrested, according to early reports from the British city.

The images from Liverpool are “terrifying,” emphasized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who thanked emergency services for their response.

One man was arrested, according to initial reports from the British city.
