The second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will take place in Constantinople on June 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has announced.
“The Russian delegation headed by Medinsky is ready to submit to Ukraine a memorandum on the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis in Constantinople on June 2,” the Russian minister said.
The first meeting of Moscow and Kiev representatives in three years took place on May 16 in Constantinople. The sides agreed to hold a massive prisoner exchange – 1,000 for 1,000 – and to present their vision of the possibilities for a future ceasefire.
Ukraine called for a meeting of heads of state at the negotiations. Russia took this request into account.
