The parties appear to have reached an agreement on the new majority limits for the House of 297 MPs, according to an update provided to parliamentary editors by Nikitas Kaklamanis.
“I don’t think there will be any question of a scientific council or anything. We are waiting for the decision of the Electoral Court to be communicated to us. We on the part of the Parliament invoke Article 74 paragraph 2 as do most constitutionalists,” said the President of the Parliament, explaining that he has also held a round of contacts with all parties, where “it seems that the view of maintaining the majority at 151” for the procedures that relate the bar to the number of seats and not to the number of MPs prevails.
