According to information, 14-year-old Spyros’ liver was transplanted to an adult at the Laiko Hospital, one kidney went to a recipient, also in Laiko, and the other kidney to Thessaloniki. The corneas were also taken from the unfortunate boy, for which the most common procedure is to transfer them to a bank and transplant them at a later date after a suitable recipient has been found. One cornea was, as is usually the case, taken to the appropriate bank, but the second cornea was urgently transferred to the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki for transplantation to a 14-year-old teenager who has been seriously injured.

According to the same information, 12-year-old Sini’s lungs are being transferred for recipients in Hanover, Germany, and her heart in Bari, Italy. The liver is destined for a 20-year-old recipient at the Hippocratic Hospital in Thessaloniki, one kidney along with the pancreas for a 47-year-old patient with diabetes and kidney failure in Rio, Patras, and the second kidney will probably be transplanted to a minor kidney patient at the Laiko Hospital. The corneas in the case of the 12-year-old were also transferred to a bank, and in the coming days, it will be decided which patients will be transplanted.
