Large fire in Paleopanagia, Nafpaktos – 112 alert issued for evacuation of Ano Platanitis

A major fire is underway on the perimeter of Nafpaktos at the height of Paleopanagia.The fire extends over a very large front, and at 06:14 Sunday morning a message was issued by 112 calling those in the Ano Platanitis area to evacuate towards Antirrio and Nafpaktos.

The fire broke out at about 4:30am. Currently, strong firefighting forces have been deployed on the perimeter of Nafpaktos as the fire approaches a residential area.
