Putin has explained what conditions must be met to stop military operations, Kremlin spokesman says - Details of new Russian-Ukrainian meeting expected

Kiev is well aware of what conditions must be met to stop military actions in Ukraine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. As he reminded reporters, Vladimir Putin had clearly articulated these conditions a year ago during his speech to the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The special military operation continues. In Kiev they know very well what needs to be done to stop military actions. All these conditions were formulated by the President a year ago in his speech to the leadership of the Foreign Ministry. In Kiev they know and remember these statements of President Putin,” Peskov said.

Regarding the possibility of a new round of talks between Russia and Ukraine, Peskov said that clarity on the date is expected soon. “We expect that there will be clarity in the near future,” he told reporters.

It will be recalled that the second round of negotiations between the two sides took place on June 2 in Turkey. The meeting took place at Istanbul’s Chiragan Palace and lasted more than an hour. According to the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, after the talks, the two countries agreed to a large-scale prisoner exchange, and the implementation of a local ceasefire for the recovery of the bodies of the dead was discussed.
