U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg arrived in Kiev today, Ukraine’s key adviser to President Andriy Yermak announced after U.S. President Donald Trump announced new deliveries of Patriot air defense systems to the country.

“We warmly welcome US special envoy Keith Kellogg to Ukraine, Wermak said in a post on the Telegram messaging app.

“Peace through strength is the principle of US President Donald Trump and we support this approach, he added.

Kelogg went to Kiev today to discuss security and sanctions against Russia, the Ukrainian president’s key adviser noted.

“Defense, strengthening security, weapons, sanctions, protection of our people, strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the US – there are many issues to be discussed,” Yermak also said in the messaging app.
