“I did it all myself”: what the 35-year-old said for the murder of the Polish professor

"I did it because I was afraid he would take her children away from her"

Newsroom July 21 01:28

What the ex-wife’s partner of the murdered professor claimed in his testimony – “I did everything alone”

The testimony of the first defendant, the 35-year-old man who has confessed to being the perpetrator of the murder of Professor Przemysław Jeziorski, has been completed before the examining magistrate. He reiterated what he had already claimed during the preliminary investigation, namely that he acted alone, confessed to killing the professor without significant premeditation or planning, and that he did not receive instructions to commit the heinous act from his partner, who is also the victim’s ex-wife.

This is despite the fact that the authorities possess solid evidence indicating that there was a deliberate attempt to conceal his identity and build an alibi.

“I did it to bring peace to my family,” he stated at the magistrate’s office, where he remained for over two hours. He also emphasized that he did not receive any order from anyone to commit the murder.

The 35-year-old further claimed that he wanted to put an end to the legal conflict between the victim and his partner so that he could live his life with her and her 14-year-old child.

According to information reported by ERT, the victim’s ex-wife claims she learned about the murder the day after her partner confessed to the police. She expressed shock, stating that she never wanted her ex-husband to be murdered. Likewise, the alleged accomplices claim they did not play a central role in the case.
