An unbelievable incident appears to have taken place on the ferry boat route from Thassos to Keramoti in Kavala, according to reports.

As reported by kavalapost, which cites the testimony of a woman, a child in a wheelchair along with his companion were forced to stay in the car garage amidst unbearable heat, as there was no ramp for the disabled.

Full post by Ms. Evi Zouboulidou:

“Tuesday at 8:00 PM – ferry route Limenas to Keramoti. Vessel: Ioannis Sofias of Thassos Seaways.
Once again, I felt ashamed to be human.
A person in a wheelchair, accompanied by their caregiver, was traveling among the cars, because clearly there is no way for a wheelchair to access the passenger area.
For years now, it’s been the same story: elderly people and individuals with mobility issues cannot travel with dignity because there are no proper accommodations.
Why? Who is the responsible party that can provide an answer?”
