US President Donald Trump wants an agreement to end Russia’s war in Ukraine by August 8, the United States announced at the United Nations Security Council.

“Both Russia and Ukraine need to negotiate a ceasefire and a lasting peace. The time has come for them to reach an agreement. President Trump made it clear that this must happen by August 8. The United States is preparing to take additional measures to ensure peace,” said senior US diplomat John Kelly addressing the 15-member Security Council.
