Temperatures rise slightly today – Where rain is expected

The weather will be clear all over the country, the temperature will reach 35 degrees in Athens

The weather will be mostly clear across the country today, Sunday, with some localized cloudiness developing during midday and afternoon hours in mountainous areas of mainland Greece, where showers are likely – except for Thrace. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching high levels, while winds will mainly blow from the north, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Temperature Highlights (according to EMY):

  • Mainland: 34–35°C, up to 36°C in eastern mainland regions
  • Islands: 31–32°C, up to 33–34°C in southern Crete

Wind Forecast:

  • West: Northwest winds at 3–4 Beaufort
  • East: North to northwest winds at 4–5 Beaufort, locally 6 in the Aegean

  • Winds: Northerly at 3–5 Beaufort

THESSALONIKI

  • Winds: Light, variable
  • Temperature: 21–33°C

MACEDONIA & THRACE

  • Weather: Mostly clear. In Macedonia, temporary clouds in the afternoon may bring local showers or isolated thunderstorms in mountainous areas
  • Winds: Light and variable; northeastern winds at 3–4 Beaufort in eastern areas
  • Temperature: 19–35°C (3–4 degrees cooler minimum in Western Macedonia)

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN GREECE, WEST PELOPONNESE
