The French presidency announced the start of the online summit between U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and European leaders.
According to reports, once this call concludes, Trump will hold another with European leaders, this time without Zelensky’s participation.
These communications are viewed as a precursor to the meeting scheduled for Friday in Alaska between the American president and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier today, in a post on Truth Social, Trump described the Europeans as “good people” who “want us to reach an agreement” on the issue of Ukraine.
