Authorities appear to be close to identifying the person who planted an explosive device in the Drosia, as, after analysis at the forensic laboratories, a fingerprint belonging to a man of Albanian origin who has a criminal past was found.

The improvised explosive device was spotted by a citizen last Tuesday when he was walking in an area of Drosia and immediately informed the authorities.

The device consisted of two gas caps, which were placed side by side, and between them was a bottle of gasoline. A small candle was placed on top of this arrangement.
