Statement on the joint ministerial decision on the determination of minors of illegal immigrants was made by the Deputy Minister of State for Migration and Asylum Sevi Voloudaki.

Ms Voloudaki stressed: “The new regulation ensures that the age determination process will be carried out in a reliable, scientifically based and respectful manner to the rights of applicants.
Our aim is to effectively protect minors in need, while preventing abuses and enhancing the security and transparency of the reception system.”
