Newsroom September 10 05:36

On the conclusion of the International Tender for the concession of the right to explore and exploit hydrocarbons in the marine areas south of Crete and south of the Peloponnese, and following an announcement by HELLENiQ Energy, jointly with CHEVRON, to submit a bid, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Stavros Papastavrou, said:

“Today, the joint venture of Chevron and Helleniq Energy announced its participation in the international tender for the 4 marine sites south of Crete and the Peloponnese.

This opens a new chapter for the exploitation of our country’s subsea energy wealth.

This is a development of Hope and Perspective for our country.

Greece, with national self-confidence, is laying solid foundations for its energy self-sufficiency and leveraging its geopolitical position in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The Government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is fulfilling its duty to our children and future generations by implementing its commitments for a Greece that is energy secure, attractive to investors and geopolitically strong.

From tomorrow, we move forward even more decisively, faster, unlocking our country’s potential for progress and prosperity for all Greeks, for all Greeks.”
