The new NATO mission called Eastern Sentry, aimed at strengthening the defence of the eastern side, was announced by UN Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference following developments triggered by the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones.
The new mission, for his part, said Supreme Allied Forces Europe Commander Alexus Grinkiewicz, will include new assets such as Rafale fighters from France, Danish F-16s, and ground-based anti-aircraft units, requiring a “new defense plan.”
