Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Syrian interim President Ahmed Al Sharaa on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of an inclusive political process that will protect the rights of all minorities and made special reference to the need to protect Christian populations and the need to respect international law.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis underlined Greece’s readiness to support the reconstruction of Syria.
