A serious incident occurred in Larissa, on the road from Gonnoi in the Municipality of Tempi toward Kallipefki, where a man became trapped in a 22-meter-deep cave.

According to onlarissa.gr, three people were reportedly inside the cave when, under circumstances still unknown, one of them became trapped.

The other two individuals left the scene and are now being sought by police, who have launched a manhunt, as they are suspected of illegal gold prospecting.

At this time, the rescue operation to free the man—who remains unconscious inside the cave—is still underway.
