Nikos Androulakis held consecutive meetings today with two former PASOK presidents, George Papandreou and Evangelos Venizelos.
According to reports, the discussions — in light of the upcoming parliamentary debate on Thursday — focused on foreign policy issues during this critical period. Participating in the meeting with the former prime minister, who like Mr. Venizelos had also served as Foreign Minister, was PASOK’s Shadow Foreign Affairs Secretary, Dimitris Mantzos, to facilitate an exchange of views both on regional developments and matters related to a common European defense.
It is worth noting that PASOK’s leadership, following the re-entry of former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras into the political arena, is launching a series of meetings with prominent PASOK figures such as Kostas Skandalidis and Kostas Laliotis. The goal is to formulate proposals for the party’s political priorities ahead of its Congress and the upcoming elections.
