Hundreds of children dressed as superheroes and dinosaurs, to pumpkins and “Donald Trump,” were welcomed once again by the White House for Halloween.
Playing the role of host was the US presidential couple who handed out candy to all the little ones who dressed up.
Donald Trump and Melania Trump appeared on the lawn of the East Garden to the sounds of Michael Jackson’s Thriller without either of them choosing a costume.
“It’s a long line of kids, almost as long as the ballroom,” Trump commented about the turnout, although, as the Associated Press notes, the White House had special walls installed to block the view from the construction site set up in the East Wing.
He high-fived with a boy who chose to dress as “Trump,” wearing a blue suit with a MAGA hat, while with him was a girl in a white trench coat like those often chosen by Melania Trump.
At one point, in fact, a little girl did not hesitate to punch the US president’s hand several times until Trump realized he had not given her candy.
Finally, as US media noted, the US president put a candy to one of the children dressed as a lamplighter, repeating a gesture he had done six years ago, then he had done it to a child dressed as a Minion.
