When the holiday opening hours start this year – How shops will operate

The Athens Chamber of Commerce announced the proposed holiday schedule for stores

The Athens Chamber of Commerce has announced the proposed operating hours for retail stores during the 2025 Christmas holiday season.

It is emphasized that the schedule is indicative and optional. Each business can adjust its hours according to its own needs and capabilities, within the framework set by the state and applicable legislation (Monday–Saturday 06:00–21:00, Sunday 11:00–20:00).

The proposed schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, 11/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Friday, 12/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Saturday, 13/12/2025: 09:00–16:00
  • Sunday, 14/12/2025: 11:00–16:00
  • Monday, 15/12/2025: 09:00–16:00
  • Tuesday, 16/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Wednesday, 17/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Thursday, 18/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Friday, 19/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Saturday, 20/12/2025: 09:00–18:00
  • Sunday, 21/12/2025: 11:00–18:00
  • Monday, 22/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Tuesday, 23/12/2025: 09:00–21:00
  • Wednesday, 24/12/2025: 09:00–18:00
