The 58-year-old father of the four remanded Fragkiadakis brothers and uncle of the fifth remanded suspect in the Vorizia bloodshed case was released under restrictive conditions following his testimony.
He was taken before the Heraklion investigating judge and, after a lengthy statement, it was decided that he would be released, according to cretalive.gr. The restrictions imposed include a ban on leaving the country, the obligation to report three times a month to his local police station, and a prohibition on residing in any area within the Municipality of Phaistos, where Vorizia is located.
23-year-old also released
Earlier it had been announced that the 23-year-old accused of placing the explosive device at the Fragkiadakis family home would also be released.
The competent Judicial Council, which met yesterday to decide on the young man’s legal treatment following a disagreement between the prosecutor and the investigating judge over his pre-trial detention, ruled that he should pay bail of €100,000.
It is recalled that the young man had remained under house arrest due to the dispute regarding his pre-trial detention.
