A major operation in Crete in the case of illegal subsidies from OPEKEPE is being conducted by the Greek FBI since early morning today.

According to preliminary information, police officers have so far made 14 arrests.

As police sources report, the operation concerns the dismantling of a criminal organization that committed felony-level fraud against the financial interests of the European Union and the national economy by unlawfully receiving subsidies from OPEKEPE through false declarations.
