Specifically, the five who are in custody and to be arrested were on board the vessel, while the other five were arrested in Greece, in Katerini, Thebes, and Athens. Among those arrested is a well-known cocaine baron, who also owns the vessel. He is the leader of the criminal organization, an old acquaintance of the authorities, and was arrested in Katerini. He owns three hotels, shops, and vessels, one of which was the one seized by authorities with drugs. In the past, he has been arrested and convicted, but was later released.

The vessel has been being towed for the past two days from the Atlantic Ocean with the assistance of the French Navy, in order to reach a port where the official counting of the seized quantity of cocaine will take place.

After the completion of the procedures, those arrested will be transferred to Greece.
