E.L.I.A., with the support of TRISKELION and AR.S.O.E., are organizing for the 12th consecutive year the Arcadia Classic Tour. For the second consecutive year, in the heart of winter and with selected mountain routes, the organizing committee has prepared a unique event, set within the distinctive beauty of the micro-geography of the Peloponnese. With a total route length of 310 km and 12 Regularity Tests, competitors will enjoy a full and rewarding two-day event with their historic-classic vehicles.
The winter weather will once again provide the ideal backdrop, allowing crews to enjoy the wonderful and much-loved Arcadian and Laconian mountain routes from a different perspective. Once again, we have sought to incorporate innovations and new ideas that will spark the crews’ interest, offering equal opportunities for distinction in combination with the now classic chronological coefficient, which will be applied to give a slight advantage to older vehicles. This year, the Arcadia Classic Tour counts toward the newly established Old School Trophy, specially designed for vehicles up to 1986.
The first vehicle will start from Nafplio for Leg 1 on Saturday, 24 January, at 12:01. After covering 159 kilometers through traditional settlements such as Elaiochori, Vlachokerasia, Moni Kaltezon, Skortsinós, and Logganikos, and completing the first 7 regularity tests against a winter landscape backdrop, participants are expected to finish at the Byzantine Castle City of Mystras, at the impressive yet welcoming Mystras Grand Resort & Spa at 16:30, where it will open its doors to crews and participants.
On Sunday, with a start at 10:01, another 150 kilometers and 5 regularity tests await the participants, with the route passing through Vresthena, Vamvakou, and the uniquely beautiful Kastanitsa, before the finish of the rally at Homeric Mycenae at 13:30, where the awards lunch will take place.
Once again, we designed a route friendly to our beloved classic cars so that we can fully enjoy our winter two-day event. The Arcadia Classic Tour has preserved, unchanged and uninterrupted since its inception in 2015, its distinctive character—something that has made it the favorite rally of all participants and friends of the classic-historic automobile.
