Roads will be closed today, Sunday, December 21, in central Athens from 09:00 to 11:00 due to the Athens Santa Run 2025 sporting event. There will be a temporary and gradual suspension of vehicle traffic during this time.

Specifically, traffic will be halted on the following streets within the Municipality of Athens:

• Piraeus Street, on the section between Iera Odos and Omonia Square, as well as its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Athinas Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Ermou Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Agion Asomaton Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Mitropoleos Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Karageorgi Servias Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Thermopylon Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
• Kolokynthous Street, along its entire length and its side streets up to the first parallel road.

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) urges drivers, for their own convenience and to avoid additional traffic problems, to refrain from using the above road network during the specified time period and to follow traffic signs and the instructions of traffic police officers.
