Roula Pispirigou has submitted a request to go through a Disability Certification Center committee to determine her disability level as she suffers from lupus erythritis, her lawyer told ANT1, days after her client was pictured using a cane to walk.
According to Ms. Pantazi, “usually the percentage that is assessed as significant and leads to any release is in the 70% range.”
“Ms. Pispirigou’s image proves that health problems are both serious and real. The autoimmunity with which she has been diagnosed has led to her immobilization and she has stability issues. There are days when she cannot get out of bed,” said Roula Pispirigou’s lawyer.
“We are waiting for the results of the commission to take legal action so that if the competent judicial council decides, she can continue her detention in a special place that needs proper treatment. There is a consideration for home detention we will see if it is provided for her trial case.”
According to Ms. Pantazi, “Roula Pispirigou does not have in mind the logic of release but to be able to defend the memory of her children.”
