An ex officio criminal case is being formed against Zoe Konstantopoulou for filming a police officer during the Tempi tragedy.

The Minister of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, stated that the case concerns recording and publishing videos on social media without the officer’s consent.

Floridis emphasized that Zoe Konstantopoulou engaged in acts of a criminal nature, comparing this incident to a previous complaint she made about recording a phone call.

The Minister also said that Nikos Konstantopoulos was enlisted to obstruct the trial but failed and resorted to insults.

Giorgos Floridis added that Maria Karystianou announced the creation of a political party, downplaying her role as the mother of a victim.

Details:
An ex officio criminal case for felony is being formed against Zoe Konstantopoulou for the videos she recorded from the Tempi trial and published on social media, according to the Minister of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, speaking on Alpha 98.9 radio.

Referring to “a small minority that reacted without particular reason, simply seeing the attempt to postpone the trial collapse and secondly to move it from Larisa to Athens,” Floridis said that Konstantopoulou played a central role in criminal acts by filming the police officer without consent.

“An ex officio case is being formed by the competent prosecutor and it will be taken to court,” the Minister added, noting that a case had already been filed based on publications about the criminal act of recording a judge in Larisa and publishing it on social media despite her refusal.

He also recalled that she had previously attacked Polakis for recording a call with Stournaras and reported it as a felony, and this current act is worse because it includes video evidence.

Regarding Nikos Konstantopoulos:
Floridis said he was enlisted to create obstacles for the trial, failed, and resorted to insults. Konstantopoulos did not appear during the three-year investigation and only showed up as the trial started to obstruct it.

Regarding Maria Karystianou:
The Minister said she vindicated them by announcing the creation of a party, downplaying her role as a mother of a victim in favor of political ambitions. Floridis stressed that during a trial, each person should act in the capacity that the law assigns, which for her is the role of a victim’s mother.
