A new successful interception was made by the Greek Patriot anti-aircraft system in Saudi Arabia, as a detected missile was shot down in time, according to reports.
It may be recalled that on March 19, Greek Patriot missiles in Saudi Arabia had again shot down two Iranian ballistic missiles.
An informal briefing by the Joint Chiefs of Staff said:
“It is hereby notified that on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the early morning hours of Monday, April 6, 2026, the PATRIOT Missile Guided Missile Battery of the HellenicSaudi Arabian Army (ELDISA), as part of its participation in the mission of the international initiative “Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept” in support of the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, launched a missile and shot down a target (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle – UAV), in accordance with the applicable Rules of Engagement. The force continues its mission as normal.”
