The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is currently in Chania, Crete, sent his message to the Greek people for the Holy Days of the Resurrection and Easter.
Among other things, the Prime Minister notes that Easter is a special day that reminds all Greeks that we can overcome any obstacle, as long as there is unity and faith.
At the same time, Mr. Mitsotakis also referred to our fellow citizens who, due to their profession, will not be at the Easter table with their families.
The Prime Minister’s full message:
“Resurrection declares that light always defeats darkness. Easter for Greeks is a timeless experience of optimism and hope. A special day that reminds us that we can overcome every obstacle, as long as we have unity among us and faith in the future and in our common path.
Easter also marks the arrival of spring. It thus gives us greater strength in a world of upheaval and uncertainty, while highlighting how important our achievements so far are. With Greece steadily moving along the path of stability and continuous progress.
Problems, of course, do not disappear. However, we will overcome them once again, just as we have turned so many past difficulties into opportunities. With the strength of our dynamic economy, our strong defense, the creativity of our people, and above all, the cohesion of our society.
In these moments of joy, our thoughts are with those who will not be at the festive table—especially those who remain vigilant to keep our homeland safe, those who care for patients in our hospitals, and those who are on the roads for our safety.
I wish health and strength to all Greek women and men everywhere in the world. Many happy returns, with optimism! Happy Easter!”
