Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis went to Evangelismos Hospital early on Wednesday evening to be informed about the health condition of Giorgos Mylonakis.
The Prime Minister had earlier been at the VIP lounge of Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, where he met with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and immediately afterward headed to the hospital. Mr. Mitsotakis arrived at the hospital at 20:30 and stayed for about twenty minutes.
It is recalled that the Prime Minister had also visited the hospital in the morning, shortly after the transfer of his close associate.
Earlier, the doctor who operated at Evangelismos Hospital spoke about Giorgos Mylonakis’ health condition. Eftychios Archontakis, who performed the operation on the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister—who is hospitalized in the ICU following a stroke after an aneurysm rupture—stated, among other things, that the next 10 days will be critical.
As Eftychios Archontakis told ANT1, “the first days are difficult” and “certain risks must be overcome.” He stressed that doctors will have a clear picture of his condition after 10 days have passed. “It will be 10 days of anxiety,” he explained. “We acted quickly, the aneurysm was immediately sealed,” said Mr. Archontakis, who expressed satisfaction with the operation performed.
