At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will receive the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Maximos Mansion, in the context of an official meeting of diplomatic and economic significance.
At 16:00, a Cabinet meeting will take place under the Prime Minister’s chairmanship at the Maximos Mansion, with an agenda including a series of strategic and legislative initiatives.
The items on the Cabinet agenda are:
- Presentation by the Vice President of the Government and Minister of State, Kostis Hatzidakis, and the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Thanasis Kontogeorgis, of the National Strategy for Regional and Local Planning,
- Briefing by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, on the progress of the Recovery and Resilience Fund,
- Presentation by the Minister of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, and the Deputy Minister, Giannis Bougas, of legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Justice: (a) Fund for Financing Judicial Buildings and Digital Infrastructure, (b) Measures to protect individuals participating in public engagement from strategic lawsuits against public participation (SLAPPs) – transposition of Directive 2024/1069,
- Presentation by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, of the bill for the establishment of a Professional School of Film and Audiovisual Creation,
- Proposal by the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, for the issuance of a Cabinet Act designating the Tempi railway accident of February 28, 2023, as a case of particular social importance and regarding the application of Article 11 of Law 5293/2026 on the non-exercise of legal remedies and withdrawal from those already filed,
- Presentation by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, on the development of the audiovisual creative economy in Greece,
- Proposal by the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, for the approval of the annual report of the Public Debt Management Agency for the year 2025.
