Three Turkish nationals, alleged members of a criminal organisation, were arrested in Attica on Wednesday afternoon during a police operation targeting organised crime groups.
The operation was carried out by officers of the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime, who conducted a targeted search at the suspects’ residence in the Attica region.
During the search, police found and seized 3.54 grams of raw cannabis, packaged in a nylon bag.
A check of the suspects’ documents showed that two of the three men did not have the necessary papers for legal residence in Greece. As a result, they also face charges for violations of immigration legislation.
The arrested men were taken before the competent prosecutor, while the administrative deportation procedure is also expected to be initiated against them.
