U.S. President Donald Trump will visit Athens by the end of 2026, according to statements made by Kimberly Guilfoyle during her visit to the ERT headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.

During a discussion with journalists, Ms. Guilfoyle also referred to the U.S. Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense, Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth respectively, leaving open the possibility of their presence in Greece as part of their regional visit, specifically to Turkey for an emergency NATO summit in the neighboring country.

Government sources, however, stated they had no knowledge of such plans: “Regarding reports of Trump’s visit, we are not aware of anything. If there is anything, you will be informed,” they said.

Trump–Xi: The meeting that could determine the next phase of the US–China confrontation

It is recalled that Kimberly Guilfoyle had revealed last February that Donald Trump would come to Greece, commenting that it “will be an incredible honor for the country.”

The upcoming visit gains particular geopolitical significance, as it takes place during a period of increased U.S. activity in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region. The timing, coinciding with the celebration of 250 years since American independence, adds further symbolism to the visit, during which discussions may take place on defense cooperation, developments in the Middle East, and Greece’s role as an energy and strategic hub.

In any case, the presence of top American officials in the country confirms the ongoing upgrade of bilateral relations and is part of a broader context of geopolitical shifts, with the region becoming increasingly important for the West.
