A serious incident has been reported in Antalya, Turkey, where Aydın Çavuşoğlu, the brother of former Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and president of the Alanyaspor football club, Hasan Çavuşoğlu, was found injured with a gunshot wound in his office. The 52-year-old businessman underwent surgery and is currently being treated in intensive care.

According to Turkish media, the incident occurred on Tuesday night when a gunshot was heard coming from the businessman’s office. Police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene after being alerted.

The injured man was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition is reported to remain critical, and he continues to receive intensive care.

Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin visited the hospital to check on the victim, while police carried out a thorough search of both the office and a nearby petrol station.

Meanwhile, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who was abroad when informed of the incident, reportedly returned to Antalya immediately.

Turkish authorities have not yet released an official account of how the incident occurred, and the investigation is ongoing.
