Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets were responsible for two airspace violations and two violations within the Athens FIR, while the remaining three air traffic regulation violations were committed by an ATR-72 maritime patrol aircraft.
It is noted that the area where the illegal Turkish activity was recorded was the Southeastern Aegean. According to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA), the Greek Air Force proceeded with the interception of the Turkish aircraft.
It is worth noting that on Tuesday, the Turkish Air Force carried out a double-digit number of violations (10) within the Athens FIR, while Turkish fighter jets also committed three violations of Greek national airspace.
