Search operations are ongoing for a 25-year-old Spanish mountaineer on Mount Olympus, who began his ascent from Litochoro with the aim of reaching Mytikas and has been missing for the past several hours.

His father reported him missing to the Spanish consulate, which in turn notified the Litochoro Police Department.

The operation involves 16 firefighters with 4 vehicles, Hellenic Police units, the EMAK rescue team, volunteers, and drone flights.

So far, despite extensive searches in the area, no trace of him has been found.
