One person was killed, many were injured, and extensive damage was reported at Kuwait International Airport following the Iranian drone attack, according to an updated statement from the Arab country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Facilities used by diplomatic missions located at the airport were also damaged, while the country’s civil aviation authority announced that flights are resuming only from Terminal 4.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and strong objection, in the strongest possible terms, to the violent and ongoing Iranian attacks using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, the latest of which occurred early this morning, once again targeting civilian and vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport, resulting in the death of one person, injuries to others, and damage to critical infrastructure, including diplomatic missions,” the ministry said in a post on X.

The country retains its “full and inherent right” to take appropriate measures in response to the “sinful and repeated Iranian attacks,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Iran condemned the U.S. attacks on its tankers and facilities, describing them as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and international law, and assigning “direct and explicit responsibility” to Kuwait and Bahrain for supporting U.S. military operations against Iran.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the attacks were carried out using territory and facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain to support U.S. military operations. Tehran said it reserves the right to self-defense and will use all available means to respond, including targeting the source of any future attacks.
At the same time, China called on Iran and the United States to respect the ceasefire and expressed concern over developments in the Middle East following today’s exchanges of fire between the two countries.
During a daily press briefing, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry urged all parties to uphold the ceasefire and encouraged Tehran and Washington to maintain the momentum of their negotiations.
