An ordeal came to an end for a 26-year-old German tourist who was at the Kokkinovrachos climbing area in Leonidio, within the Municipality of South Kynouria in the regional unit of Arcadia.

The climber suffered a head injury, and her location was immediately identified through the 112 emergency service. A rescue team of four firefighters, assisted by volunteers from the Leonidio Fire Department, was mobilized.

The rescue team reached the injured woman, immobilized her, and transported her by stretcher to a safe location, where she was handed over to a mobile medical team from the Greek National Emergency Medical Service (EKAB).
