A new political poll conducted in Thessaloniki by Interview on behalf of Vergina TV shows New Democracy maintaining a clear lead in voting intention, while the broader political landscape in Greece reveals strong competition for second place and unusually low support for SYRIZA in this specific survey.

New Democracy Leads the Race in Thessaloniki

According to the poll results, New Democracy records 24.5% in voting intention, securing a 10.7 percentage point lead over the second-placed party. The findings confirm its continued dominance in the Thessaloniki political scene.

Tight Battle for Second Place

The race for second place appears highly competitive:

  • Hellenic Solution: 13.8%
  • ELAS (associated with Tsipras): 13.5%

The difference between the two parties is within the margin of statistical proximity, highlighting a closely contested political environment behind the leading party.

SYRIZA Registers Unexpectedly Low Support

One of the most striking findings of the poll is the performance of SYRIZA, which is recorded at just 0.5% in voting intention. This represents a significantly lower level of support compared to other national-level parties included in the survey.
