Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the Municipality of Vari–Voula–Vouliagmeni on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, carrying out a series of visits and meetings focused on the progress of important infrastructure projects and the strengthening of services for citizens.
The first stop of the visit was the flood prevention works at the Korbi stream, where the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of interventions aimed at strengthening flood protection in the area and protecting residents and property from extreme weather events.

Next, Mr. Mitsotakis visited the Vari Health Center, where he had the opportunity to speak with medical and nursing staff and to be informed about the operation and needs of primary healthcare in the area.
This was followed by a meeting at the Town Hall with volunteer forest firefighters, in the presence of the Mayor and local stakeholders, focusing on preparation for the fire season and the contribution of volunteering to civil protection.

During the visit, Mayor Grigoris Konstantellos thanked the Prime Minister for the government’s support for the projects being implemented in the area, stressing that “all the projects being carried out in the area are the result of policy choices of the Mitsotakis government.” He stated that “the city is changing shape with the help of the government,” adding that “both I and the local officials thank him from the bottom of our hearts.”

On his part, Nikos Chardalias emphasized the Prime Minister’s ongoing presence in addressing the region’s issues, noting characteristically that “in all our problems, Kyriakos Mitsotakis is always present.”
