A few days ago, Anna Vissi, together with her koumbaroi (wedding sponsors), Giannis and Dimitra Coustas, attended the presentation of the book “Tiffany Silver: The Peter Marino Collection” at The Landmark in New York.
The two women were photographed with the renowned architect who undertook the complete renovation of Athinon Arena, where the singer will perform this coming winter, after first giving the biggest concert of her career.
The live show at OAKA is expected to be the most impressive production Anna Vissi has ever presented, having been described from the outset as a mega-production. The September 26 show will be unique by Greek standards and even more spectacular than the star’s last two concerts at the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro).
The production will approach, but under no circumstances exceed, €5,000,000 and, according to reports, something happened a few weeks ago that completely changed the plans that had been in place until then.

Although it had initially been decided that everything related to the concert (sound, lighting, stage) would be brought in from abroad, the final cost reportedly soared to levels unprecedented for Greek standards. As a result, decisions that had already been made regarding the concert’s production were reconsidered in order to find alternative solutions.
The rotating stage and the mystery guest
The mega-production concert at OAKA on Saturday, September 26, will ultimately incorporate many elements from Greece’s domestic concert industry. According to reports, Anna Vissi will electrify Athens on a 360-degree stage, allowing all spectators, regardless of where they are seated, to have her facing them at some point, as the circular stage will rotate.
Undoubtedly, those attending will enjoy the most impressive live performance of “the ultimate diva” – a show that is now being meticulously planned.

It is expected to be unprecedented by Greek standards, with preparation being handled by D&A Productions – the company jointly established by Anna and her koumbara, Dimitra Cousta – and Galaxias Live Productions.
In addition to the impressive circular stage, there will be a long runway stretching across OAKA and, according to leaked information, the overall design is intended for an audience approaching 100,000 people. The sound is expected to be on the level of a Metallica concert, while “the ultimate diva” aims to present an unforgettable performance for her devoted fans.
As for the guest artist who will appear with her? For now, despite various names reportedly being approached, at least the possibility of Jennifer Lopez was never realistic, as the Latin superstar would never open a concert for a Greek colleague.
As for the “hot” Benson Boone, whose name also circulated, the possibility of him being in Athens appears rather unlikely, as he begins his American tour on July 7, consisting of 41 concerts. The tour concludes on September 19, and if additional dates are added to the final two Las Vegas performances, it seems difficult, if not impossible, for him to be in Athens just one week later.
Regarding the artist who will open the concert, it appears that no name has yet been secured to warm up Anna’s audience for approximately 30 to 40 minutes before they fill the stadium.
The sold-out status, the expensive tickets, and the show
As expected, a sell-out became only a matter of days once tickets went on sale, especially the more affordable ones, which disappeared within two days. Around 5,000 tickets remain available – the so-called premium tickets, priced at €265, €318, and €477 – but these are also expected to sell out as the date of the concert approaches.
For this live show, director Cassandra Powell and choreographer Tia Rivera, who were brought in for Anna’s two concerts at the Panathenaic Stadium last year, are expected to return unless there is a major surprise. Powell directed both Kallimarmaro performances, which utilized dozens of cameras, one of which was literally suspended in the air on a special cable running from one end of the stadium to the other.
At OAKA, there may be even more cameras, as well as more giant screens. At the Panathenaic Stadium there were 11 screens, ensuring that everyone in the stands, as well as those seated far from the stage, could follow the action. In addition to the dozens of cameras that will capture Anna Vissi’s most spectacular concert to date, approximately 15 drones will be used to film from various vantage points.
Tia Rivera – choreographer on Beyoncé’s world tour – is reportedly set to oversee new, impressive choreography, with dancers being recruited from abroad. At the two Kallimarmaro concerts, a total of 20 dancers performed – the same dance team used by Taylor Swift in her live shows – and they delivered outstanding performances in the songs accompanying Anna.
In addition to Anna’s regular band – with the exception of Carlos Perez, who has departed – the possibility of including a classical orchestra is being explored, while the lighting and laser effects are expected to be “from another planet.”
Anna will perform for more than three hours, delivering a playlist that includes all of her greatest hits and, of course, “Aegean”, the new song she recently recorded.
