A fire broke out in the Vria, in the Katerini area, prompting the Fire Department to respond. The fire is burning in an agricultural and forested area, and a large contingent of firefighters rushed to the scene immediately.

Thirty-two firefighters, along with one foot patrol team from the 2nd EMODE, eight vehicles, two aircraft, and one helicopter, are battling the flames.

The operation is being supported by local government water trucks and construction equipment.
