The Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) on Monday, 20 July 2026, held the swearing-in ceremony for 45 new air traffic controllers (ATCs), strengthening its workforce in a critical sector for the smooth operation of air transport and the optimisation of air traffic management.

The new controllers come from the pool of successful candidates of the ASEP 2G/2024 recruitment competition and were selected using the EUROCONTROL FEAST programme, a modern and reliable assessment procedure conducted through ASEP.

It is noted that this process was applied for the first time, and based on this method, an initial 80 air traffic controllers were appointed in October 2025.

In the coming period, the swearing-in of an additional 8 air traffic controllers is expected, while by the end of 2026, the appointment of a further 21 ATCs has been scheduled.
