The passenger-car ferry “SUPER STAR” (N.P. 9939) was unable to dock at the port of Andros due to the extremely adverse weather conditions affecting the area.

The vessel was operating its scheduled route Rafina – Andros – Tinos – Mykonos and return when its approach to the port of Andros was deemed impossible because of gale-force winds reaching 8 to 9 Beaufort.

The ferry is continuing its voyage toward the port of Tinos. It is carrying 317 passengers, along with 56 cars, 11 motorcycles and 2 trucks.
