In a particularly strongly worded post on X, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, arguing that Turkey is being drawn into “dangerous adventures” in Syria.

The Israeli official stressed that his country would not allow any actor to threaten its security and made clear that Israel would continue to defend its interests.

“It would be better for Erdoğan to continue his rhetoric against Israel in the Turkish Grand National Assembly—rhetoric detached from reality and full of fantasies,” Katz wrote in his post.

Addressing the Turkish president, the Israeli defense minister said:

“He is dragging Turkey into dangerous adventures in Syria. Israel will not allow any actor to threaten its security. It would be better for Erdoğan to continue his rhetoric against Israel in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, detached from reality and full of fantasies, than to attempt to test Israel’s determination to defend itself.”
