New details about the final moments of the 45-year-old woman in Nea Smyrni, as well as how the 48-year-old killed her, have emerged from the forensic examination, combined with the other evidence gathered by the authorities.

According to information, the 48-year-old was waiting for the woman outside her apartment building. As soon as she opened the entrance door, he followed her inside.

What happened next took place in roughly three to five seconds. The 48-year-old allegedly kicked the 45-year-old once or twice, causing her to fall and end up on her knees.

He then pointed his gun at her.

When the woman saw the gun aimed at her, she instinctively raised her hands toward it in an attempt to protect herself.

“I broke up with him because he was jealous”

According to information, the 45-year-old had spoken to her sister about the relationship she was in with a man, telling her that she had decided to break up with him because of his jealousy.

She had also reportedly confided in her that he continued to persist and that she was afraid of him.

On the night of the murder, the woman was alone at home. Her daughter was not in Athens, as she had gone to Agrinio with her uncle.

The €1,000 he left for his wife

Meanwhile, information has also emerged about the 48-year-old’s movements before he arrived in Nea Smyrni. Before leaving his home, he left his wife €1,000 and told her, “Keep it, so you have some money.”

His wife told the authorities that over the previous approximately 18 months she had noticed a change in his behavior. As she reportedly said, the 48-year-old was frequently absent from home and, on some nights, slept elsewhere, without her knowing where he was or whether he was involved with another woman.
