Police officers from the Attica Directorate for Drug Enforcement and Crime Investigation arrested a psychologist in the Piraeus area, along with another individual, for allegedly trafficking cocaine, cannabis, and other drugs.

The case file prepared by police also contains the name of a Greek folk singer, who, according to investigators, was a customer of the drug-trafficking ring.

The alleged leading member of the criminal group is a 42-year-old man living in Haidari, who allegedly distributed large quantities of drugs, mainly in areas of western Attica.

He also had access to other types of drugs, which he obtained through a professional psychologist whom he referred to as the “Doctor.” The psychologist allegedly supplied him with substances such as MDMA, LSD, and other drugs in pill form.

As for the drug deliveries, customers either went to the 42-year-old’s home to collect them, or he delivered the quantities to locations where they had arranged to meet. At the same time, he also made deliveries through a courier company, sending packaged quantities of drugs that he referred to as “packages.”

The 42-year-old allegedly had a regular customer base. Recorded conversations reportedly revealed that he supplied drugs to the folk singer.

According to the 42-year-old, his business was going very well, and he allegedly offered people work for him, paying hundreds of euros per day.

In other words, he was boasting that business was going very well. He reportedly said that he had spent €15,000 on dental work and had bought a new car, while claiming that his former wife had taken €12,000 from him. In another conversation, the talkative alleged drug dealer reportedly said that he had lent money to someone and would receive €2,000 per month in interest.

For his conversations, he used a “ghost phone,” meaning a telephone connection that was not registered under his real personal details.

Yesterday, the 42-year-old and the psychologist were arrested. Quantities of drugs, more than €10,000 in cash, and mobile phones were found at their homes.

They are accused of violating Article 20, “Drug Trafficking,” of the Greek law titled “On Addictive Substances and Other Provisions.”

The other individuals involved are accused of “procurement for personal use” under Law 4139/2013, “On Addictive Substances and Other Provisions.”

Regarding the singer and one other individual, relevant preliminary-investigation material—specifically, recorded conversations—was submitted, allegedly indicating the procurement of drugs for personal use.
